Hello, my name is Suprio. I am the founder of the Zimba Team. I quit my job as an electrical engineer to devote my life to solving the problems of the poor, trying to help in my own small way.
Imagine if every time you drank a glass of water, you risked losing your life. Disease in dirty water kills nearly 2 million people every year, mostly children under 5 years old. Every year, enough children die from water diseases to match the death toll of 5 Haiti earthquakes. Every single year, millions of children die needlessly. But together, we can prevent this tragedy.
We need your help. Join forces with us, invest in us to improve and scale up our product and reach thousands of people with safe water in the next year.
I invented the first rough Zimba doser in 2009. I was very lucky that students from MIT took interest in my project, and together we formed the Zimba team. We have been working to improve our product for the past 3 years, talking to villagers, to slum dwellers, listening to their ideas and improving the Zimba doser design to meet their needs. We have talked to many water organizations who want our product, who want to use the Zimba doser so they can reach more people with safe water.
Now, we need your help. Invest in our team to help us scale up our manufacturing, to invest in molds and materials to meet the demand and interest that our product has generated. Help us put Zimba dosers where they can help the families who need them most.
With all my heart, I thank you for you support. Together, we can save lives
Sanitation is a good business in Bangladesh. Financing of businesses working in this sector is quite difficult however. For households it is also very difficult to get loans to build a toilet. This video seeks to show the opportunities for banks.
It gives examples of successfull entrepreneurs who with the help of a loan were able to expand their business and even can offer their customers the option of paying in installments.
