Woven throughout the depths of the woods, and the heights of the mountain are a network of super fun, fast, flowing trails. 'Into the Trees' is a short film showing the Altura Trail in its best light. A trail that flies you 1600ft above Keswick, carves you round berms and switchbacks, takes your breath away with beautiful views, inspires you to get loose on the trail, but most of all... a trail which never fails to bring a smile to your face.
Thanks to Matt Wight and Ross Parkinson for their rad riding in the film. I hope this film makes you want to pick up your bike and take to the hills.
The Bootleg Canyon Down hill race near Las Vegas and Lake Mead. The Race put on on by "Downhill Mike" features top US and European racers, featuring First and Second place Dan, and Gee Atherton. All of the footage in the race was hand held using a camera rig I built. Except for a few lockoffs the rig alows me to place it on a rock and use the small head to do lock offs. The color correction looks awesome prior to upload. I really wish I could share that quality with you but, we are not there yet. I am sure not too far in the future we will see 12bit full raster 60p HD online also see the trailer at vimeo.com/3383453

The House of the Big Wheel is built around the four big bike stories of Kona's 2012 29-inch wheel mountain bike program. On one axis we present the Japanese inspired Honzo and Satori: the Honzo being a gravity/all-mountain Kona Cromoly hardtail, the Satori a 130mm technical singletrack trail slayer. On the other axis, the Hawaiian heritage of the Hei Hei 29, our legendary 100mm XC competition destroyer, balanced with the all-new race royalty, the carbon fiber King Kahuna hardtail. The first film premieres right here right now, as we introduce the Honzo/Satori edit. Filmed in the wild forests and high alpine of the Coast Range, near Squamish, BC, the edit features two of Kona's longtime 29 product testers, Kevin Noble and Trevor Porter. Episode Two, currently in production, will feature Team Kona XC superstars Barry Wicks and Spencer Paxson on the Hei Hei 29 Supreme and King Kahuna.
