This is a short snippet into how I actually came to start writing this song long ago. I suppose stories like this are interesting only to the artist themselves, for they are the ones who created something (with help) and thus, it is a wonderous experience to explain to others.
This song is sung in an Acapella style. Originally it was recorded only once in Memphis in 1994. It was written after seeing bloody body after body in Somalia, and having scores of Local National's die in my arms and on the table. I remember asking myself: What will be the Last thing going through my mind as I leave earth and go into Eternity? I was watching it happen right in front of me. I awoke one morning, and was singing this song. I grabbed an old microphone recorder and sung it into it. In the Studio I was able to explore different harmonies, but for here, this is fine.
