We're delighted to announce that legendary New Zealand song-writer/arranger/producer/national icon Ben King (captured here at work in his cave-like studio in the hills) will now be crafting soundtracks for some of our future Stop-Motion treats.
The man is a consummate song-smith and a master of melody, and very soon his hand-made tunes will be the ear-candy to accompany our visual work.
Inspired by Sam O'Hare's 'Coachelleta' and Keith Loutit's 'Bathtub' series, we were keen to show the human side of fans beyond the typical forced perspective miniatures by bringing our own TS style to the shoot. All tilt-shift, dollying, boom and pan done in-camera/in-lens (no faked TS!). Shot and edited in 3 crazy days in January 2012 at Mystery Creek, just outside of Hamilton.
Soundtrack; Hugely talented NZ songwriter/producer Ben King (of Goldenhorse/Grand Rapids fame) benkingproduction.com
Gear; Canon 5d II's, 24 TS-E, 45 TS-E, EF 35 1.4, EF 50 1.2, EF 85 1.2, Manfrotto clamps, Kessler Cineslider and Elektra motor drive, Genie 10m scissor lift, 1 X pallet of V Energy drinks, 12 kilos of hot chips.
Get ready for the mighty magic of Felicity + Ant - a match made of pure comic gold. For most couples, wearing a rubber horse head in the middle of a field on your wedding day would be a lil odd, but for Ant it's completely normal. And hilarious.
Take one garden party with hand-made bunting to die for, a lemonade & champagne stand, huge old trees to hide under, an ice-cream cart, a wild picnic and some of the finest musicians in the land serenading you... stitch it all together with laughter, madness and crazy dancing late into the night and you'll start to understand how fantastic these guys are.
