This is our hexacopter, stripped of all its camera gear to test the DJI Wookong. It was a bit of a gusty day, but it was lovely to fly so we just played! Filmed with a GoPro Hero 2 on 720 setting (60fps). Edited (badly) with Premiere Elements 10.
A new £3m cultural centre weighing 170 tonnes has been hoisted by crane on to the end of Southend Pier.
The 350 sq m (3,767 sq ft) steel structure was brought in by boat in one piece from Tilbury where it was built.
When completed in the summer, the centre will include a multi-purpose hall seating 185, artists' studios, a cafe and outdoor terrace.

It was a blustery, showery day when we filmed this and although we had to stabilise in post, it came out pretty well in the end.
