1. For the launch of the Google Chromebook, we were asked by Google and BBH to put together this fun, introductory animation. It ended up closing the show at the 2011 Google I/O conference and actually provoked some LOLs from the Android developer community.

  3. BLACKSWAN is a Swiss Foundation keen on supporting the research of rare (Orphan) diseases, which directly affect more than 600 million people worldwide. For economical reasons, the pharmaceutical industry does not care about this very important public health issue. There are more than 7000 diseases discovered so far that remain without cures....

    Our project research is expressed in an innovative Visual Identity, represented in an unique way. It communicates the concept of rarity and uniqueness. Our studio has helped the foundation find the right name for itself. BLACKSWAN is a comprehensive symbol that allows people to connect emotionally. Rare like a black swan, beautiful like a sculpture; this vision will help the foundation carry its mission in a human and sympathetic manner. The logotype and typography come from the idea of using political language to announce the urgency of their message. The red color chosen for the identity is slightly dark and evokes a kind of revolutionary feel. It also works well because of its association with the medical trade and institutions such as the Red Cross organization.
    We created the first analogic random cover ever printed in an offset printing machine! Our project research led us to believe that the Visual Identity and its communication needed to be represented in an unique way and communicate the concept of rarity and uniqueness. The solution rested in the WROP technique (Water Random Offset Printing) and with its astonishing and simple innovation which produces outputs that are different from each other. This gave us the key for our brief. The analogic process of the technique interacts with the mechanism of the machine, modifying the usual hydro-chromatic parameters. The process is inspired by the American musical composer John Cage's work. WROP allowed us to develop a formal language (abstract and random), which is an integral part of the BLACKSWAN Foundation's visual identity.

  5. Stupid was asked to create the visual identity and intro for a new talkshow, Langeberg, at DR HD. The goal of the program is to be a Danish version of The Daily Show, combined with a satiric angle of daily news and politics. The program is built around the host, Steen Langeberg, that has weekly guests on the program. The brief was to create a universe that was a cross between 60´s graphics and a classical, news program.
