Philip K. Goropoulos, president and CEO of Alder Health Services, recently won the nonprofit leadership excellence award at the region’s Nonprofit Innovation Awards. The leader of the organization since 1999, his guidance has helped to expand its mission and services to include both supporting the region’s HIV/AIDS population and providing mental health, primary and sexually transmitted disease care for those who have traditionally been marginalized.
Designed and decorated to reflect life in the forest as Robin Hood lived, the Loxley’s Restaurant in Lancaster County gives 5 percent of each customer's check to a local charity. Since the practice began in 2009, the business has donated $228,000 to charitable organizations.

She leads a team of seven professionals who specialize in services to nonprofit organizations as well as health care and disability-related clients.
