By giving to the Class Fund, we are creating a lasting legacy from our class and preserving the Urban experience for future students. It would be great to hit our 85% participation goal before graduation, so could you please give today if you haven’t. Every gift, of any amount that is meaningful to you, makes a difference. urbanschool.org/classfund
On behalf of our students, teachers and the Urban community at large, thank you to everyone who supported this year's Annual Fund! Your gift makes a tremendous impact at Urban by supporting:
• innovative programs that ignite a passion for learning in every student
• faculty development opportunities that keep our teachers at the forefront of their disciplines
• a socially and economically diverse community that reflects our city and enriches the learning environment for all
• Urban's thought-provoking curriculum that encourages students to make a difference in the world.
Urban’s service learning program has been integrated into the academic program from the very start of the school. Freshman and Sophomores explore their identity and culture, and then partner with local non-profits to serve a range of needs and issues via group work. By the time students reach 11th and 12th grades, they pursue independent service learning internships. Senior Oscar P has been volunteering at Muttville in San Francisco for more than two years. Muttville’s mission is to create better lives for older dogs that have been abandoned or are up for adoption. Check out the video to hear a little about Oscar's story.
