Testing out the current build with some live DJ input. Tunnel mode now has a few modes it works through and is getting close to being "finished" (nothing is ever finished). More work was done on the terrain based scene but not ready to be shown yet. Fixed a lot of the issues I had with stuttering in the animations by reworking things to use more live float values rather than tweens. Ill be running the visualizer at BOUNCE BY THE LAKE on July 15th (details here: facebook.com/events/1949265961985726/) with some excellent DJs and showing off some of the other set ups and things Ive been cooking.
Work in progress on a different scene set up for my real time sound reactive visualization project in Unity. Spent time refactoring the way things animate, which will effect future versions with having much more dynamic objects. Sonic Eather Global Illumination is starting to hit its peak as I had to make the GI voxel volume giant to fit the terrain. The track is an untitled wip by myself. The project is using a combo of some custom audio reactive tools built in house at KTI and things Ive been building with Playmaker.
I plan on uploading progress almost every week with this project until the summer when it will get a good test run at warehouse party in Toronto.
Developing a real time sound visualizer for Unity 3d. Doing some look development experiments with the pre-alpha audio tools and testing the limit of the Sonic Ether Global Illumination engine (60-90fps on my 1080, but video recorded at 30fps). There are no keyframes involved in any of this. Some stuff developed with Playmaker. More look dev tests to come!
