Like so many Conga moments, Erna was interested in what I was doing so far from home. At McDonald's, she parked next to me and really studied my bike before she came in. I'm sure she saw the pink Conga bracelets and I was the sole biker there. After eating, she introduced herself and shared her story of cancer. Her husband passed from cancer and she visits him once a year where she left his ashes at the bottom of the Matterhorn.
