This episode of Lunatic Fringe was shown live in April 2008, in the middle of the presidential election. The panel is four Los Angeles artists: Wil Doucet, a poet; Linda Albertano, musician; Janice Yudell, painter; and Elisha Shapiro, conceptual artist. Lunatic Fringe was on cable tv in LA and NYC for eight years, once a month. This sample program is unedited, shown just as it was shown in 2008. If this show is produced again, improvements might include editing for a tighter presentation and a celebrity guest. But the perspective of artists talking about politics and culture is quite unusual and fresh compared to most pundit shows. Artists tend to present an individual point of view that is outside the mainstream, and gives a valuable perspective to viewers.
