In this project, I did one the two hero shots, which involved camera tracking, keying, roto, CGI integration, set extension, 3D elements inside Nuke, cleaning and more. I also did the final grading of the long version for movie theaters using Assimilate Scratch. The others shots had set extension, background replacements, and some other tasks you'll see in the video ;)
It was done at 3DN Post, March 2011.
- Toni Agoglitta (Roto Artist)
- Jose Paparás (CGI Modeling / Texturing)
- Juan Ignacio Casale (CGI Lighting / Rendering)
Poolia is back with a new Tv campaign. This time with a funny historical perspective. The viewer now get a chance to see what actually happened before some of the historical events as we know them took place.
Traktor came to Stopp with a great script and treatment. But with a tight schedule it was hard or almost impossible to go to a lot of different locations or build big construction sets in a studio.
The Stopp team went to the Läckö Castle to shoot reference pictures to create a virtual set in 3D. Used for some of the scenes.
A combination of CG and great matte paintings by the Stopp Vfx team created the look Traktor and the agency King had in mind.
For the wide "Judas" shot, Stopp created the matte painting and mid-ground elements such as additional stones and an olive tree, and composited it with the filmed plate.
In the Pisa shot, Stopp created background matte paintings, a CG leaning tower of Pisa, rotoscoped and positioned a number of foreground characters. The image on the foreground scroll was also replaced with a CG version with an updated painting.
For the Swedish teen-horror Frostbitten, Fido handled all special and visual effects. A large amount of effects and a very modest budget, meant spending every cent where it did the most good.
Digital face changes, full CG creature, props, blood and numerous in-camera effects. All-in-all more than 300 fx shots were completed.
