Just under 200 riders participated this year in another epic race....enjoy.
Location: Santa Ana Mountains, CA
Distance: 56.6 miles with 11,000+ ft of climbing
Lapsed time:7 hrs 51 min...not as fast as I hoped this year :^/
This highlights my experience racing in the expert class of the EnduroStuff Cup OC Parks Tour in Aliso Woods Park on 5/5/12. It was the 1st mtn bike race ever held in Aliso Woods Park and it was a blast to participate considering these are the trails I do most of my training on!

Orange County's favorite mid-week two-wheeled race series is underway and Kasel Cycling - Team Revo is ready to have some fun! The Over the Hump series had over 500 racers for the first race on 5/22/12 as well as a certain Peter Sagan in attendance fresh off of five Amgen Tour of CA stage wins! Here's a look at some of the fun before, during and after the race . . .
DH practice at Snow Summit in Big Bear, CA on a carbon hardtail mountain bike! This trail, called either "Pirates" or "Mad Dog" is 0.6 miles long with an average grade of 8% (the bottom section is ~15%).
The Rim Nordic XC course features some great single-track trails which wind their way through pine trees and creeks. Here's the final mile of the course after all the tough climbing is finished, leaving racers with some some flowing single-track along with some technical rocky sections. This is the end of my first lap where I eventually roll past the start/finish line on my way towards another lap. I finished 2nd in my class (CAT 2, 30-34) and look forward to the next race at Rim Nordic!
