Poets, musicians, dance and theatre improvisors, comic book artists and a pair of theory clowns attended the conference, wrote new pieces on the spot in response to conference sessions, and performed them at the end of each day.

The reARTiculations took place April 14 - 16, 2012 as a Presidential Lecture at AERA, supported by President Arnetha F. Ball, VP Cynthia Tyson, produced by Susan Gerofsky and Kathryn Ricketts, with assistant producers Zsuzsa Harsman and Ozlem Deniz.
