Sony Ericsson needed some TV idents to play out during their Eurosport and ESPN coverage of the 1997 Women's Tennis Association tour. James Cooper's scripts played on the classic "I love New York", slogan and the accompanying scribbles proposed a typographic execution. I took on the mantel of directing the animation and sound design which would bring these ads to life. Animation came from the amazingly fast flash and illustration skills of Pavel Fernandez with a little extra after effects work from myself.

Barclaycard came to Dare with a brief to get some content out of their sponsorship tie up with the Mercury Music Prize. I took to the red carpet with a head full of questions to ask this year's nominations and then hit the edit suit with a mission to give the film a rock and roll pop-promo feel.

An Ad I directed guerilla style on the streets of London's Brick Lane for Dare's Vodafone Client. My brief was to speak to real people who have used the summer 2009 Pay As You Go offer and see how they felt about it, and their mobile usage in general. We spoke to some great characters who we found through Vodafone's Face Book group and some street-cast randoms who were happy to talk to us.
I opted for a filmic look on this on in my intent to try and move the online "got to be real", film style away from DV hand-held to towards a more beautiful image, while retaining the genuine feel of street shooting members of the public as opposed to actors.
