Video shot during two weekends in February 2012. The Allen Broussard Conservancy invited volunteers from several non-profit organizations to help them meet the requirements of an Ecostar grant from Constellation Energy. Some of the organizations were the Florida Trail Association, Florida Audubon, and the Florida Native Plant Society.
I shot this for my field production class at Brevard Community College. I have some really nice video that I couldn't figure out how to get it in this movie....I may have to make another one. ;-)
The Florida Wildlife Hospital is located in Melbourne Florida. It's a non-profit organization dedicated to rehabilitating sick, injured, and orphaned Florida indigenous wildlife. This is one of 3 videos I created for my field production class at Brevard Community College. I first visited the hospital in December 2011 and then went back two more times in late January 2012. Nothing is staged. The staff and the volunteers stay in constant motion. Even though the times I visited were during the slow season, there was still plenty of work to do. Spring is the busiest time of year for them. They get so many babies this time of year that the town of Palm Shores throws them a baby shower. The next Baby Shower will be held May 19, 2012 at the Palm Shores City Hall between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. For more information visit their website: http://www.floridawildlifehospital.org/

I was very happy when I found out the entertainment was Thomas Jones & the Melodics at a 4th of July party I attended. Since I always have my video camera with me, I captured some footage. The song performed in this video is "Satin Doll". I've combined it with various video clips I shot that evening. one of the problems of shooting video impromptu is that you have no control over the environment. Some of my best video of Thomas Jones playing guitar is interrupted by a phone ringing incessantly. I never heard it while I was recording, only afterwards when I was watching the video. That video is unusable.
