  3. Taking my inspiration from the old political slogans and stencils that were used during the struggle against apartheid.
    I wanted to bring to life sentences from the freedom charter document that i felt were still pressing in south africa today.

    The freedom charter document is an important historical document that acted as a backbone for the struggle listing the demands and desires of the people.
    Today it is becoming increasingly evident that many of these changes have only been made on a superficial level.

  5. Luhambo means "journey" in Xhosa, one of South Africa's 11 official languages. Luhambo is the story of a young boy on an enchanted journey of self discovery.

    This short film was a finalist in the international Louis Vuitton Journeys Awards and received a Special Mention Award. Contestants were asked to make a 2 minute film using the provided Journey script.

    The jury included award winning film makers Wong Kar-Wai (Happy Together), Sofia Coppola (Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette), and musical composer Gustavo A. Santaolalla (Amorres Perros, 21 Grams, Babel, Brokeback Mountain).
