T(ether) is a spatially-aware display system for multi-user, collaborative manipulation and animation of virtual 3D objects. The handheld display acts as a window into virtual reality, providing users with a perspective view of 3D data. T(ether) tracks users’ heads, hands, fingers and pinching, in addition to a handheld touch screen, to enable rich interaction with the virtual scene.
We introduce gestural interaction techniques that exploit proprioception to adapt the UI based on the hand’s position above, behind or on the surface of the display. These spatial interactions use a tangible frame of reference to help users manipulate and animate the model in addition to controlling environment properties. We report on initial user observations from an experiment for 3D modeling, which indicate T(ether)’s potential for embodied viewport control and 3D modeling interactions.
Sweetgrass Productions' VALHALLA
Starring Cody Barnhill, Sierra Quitiquit, Alex Monot, and Kazushi Yamauchi
Valhalla, Sweetgrass Productions’ fourth feature film, is the tale of one man's search to rediscover the freedom of his youth. Feeling the distant heat of it's fire still burning in the mountains of the frozen north, he goes in search of those tending the flame—the untamed, the wild, and the outcast dwelling on the fringe.
Weaving story and character with award-winning, face-melting backcountry ski and snowboard cinematography; Valhalla is a vivid explosion of color, character, snow, and nostalgic soul.

Breeder was invited back to create the opening titles for Analogue/Digital, so once again, we threw ourselves into the project and didn't hold back. This year, we developed an ambitious aesthetic based upon the idea of double exposure, inspired by Alabaster's amazing track and the conference's program design. We worked around the theme of binary, juxtaposing the urban sprawl and nature, black and white, flight and fall, and unification and disintegration. It was a labour of love and we couldn't be prouder with the end result.
