August 25-29th 1992. This is the footage of us at the airport and our first days together in England. Again, if I have not said it in the 20 years since, there is 1/2 of me that is sorry to have been such an ugly American filming geek and the other half that is like, "Why don't you have 'that' on video?" when I see something missing. Notably this film-maker did not appreciate the finer points of a long-awaited, sea-sickening English Channel voyage. Best left to our memories!
Here is August 31-September 1, 1992. This is our time together in Paris. Watching this again, I am floored by how much footage I got of the Eiffel Tower. Especially at night, it just blew me away! This is a good example of how heavily I cut stuff out of the edited version 10 years ago. It makes me smile to see the entire footage of a whole lot of us in front of those crepe-making guys dancing to US Hip-Hop music.
This is from September 3, 1992. We made our way to Neuschwanstein. Very cool if you have a smartTV with 3D capability! Its not as good as being at the movies, but it sure makes James hocking a loogie off the bridge so much more exciting! There is great footage of the Fletchers and the Gamma Girls singing on the bridge overlooking the castle. Also, this is the first time I have video of us singing together and I'm sorry I overshadow the whole group since I was holding the camera at the time. No worries! More of that to come later. It is interstesting to look at this video now and see Terry video-ing us singing. I wonder with all the groups he's been with, if he ever thinks about us too.
There is no footage of any of us on this clip. This is from Dachau in Germany and very heavy stuff that still gets to me after all this time. I remember us all getting on the bus afterwards. Some were crying, but almost all quiet and somber for the busride onward.
