DSP Aviation Unit traing with local fire districts to conduct rapid rescue during water emergencies. The State Police Aviation Unit covers the length of the Delaware River to the Atlantic Ocean, and can is usually on scene in advance of Coast Guard assets.
This evolution involves a DSP Bell 407 delivering supplies to a Class A firefighting boat demonstrating how the fireboat could be resupplied and operational during long term incidents.

Delaware State Police Aviation Section conducts inter agency training in swift water rescue using their Bell 412, Trooper-5. Joining in on this session were members of the Delaware Air Rescue Team and the New Castle Surface Water Rescue Team just two of the dozens of emergency agencies in the state which make use of the DSP's helicopters. Special thanks to Priority 1 Air Rescue who provided the instructors for this training mission.
