The Art of Craft

Eleanor Droll creates linocuts and etchings from images she sees that describe life around her. Her figurative images are intimate and empathetic. Her drawings capture emotion through human body language and gesture.

Eleanor graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and also studied at the Kansas City Art Institute. Her M.F.A. took her to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She studied and taught in Gatlinburg, Tennessee at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. She taught foundation drawing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, drawing and design at Rockhurst University, and children’s art classes at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Working in Austin, Texas, she usually spends her mornings in the studio and her afternoons working for Communities In Schools, an excellent school drop-out prevention program. Eleanor Droll is represented by GenerousArt.org which sells artist's work to sustain creativity and community by donating 40% to the nonprofit of your choice.
