Many of us know Diggy Simmons from being the son of hip-hop legend Rev Run. We've seen him on Run's House taking meetings with Pharrell about starting a clothing line before he even hit his teenage years.
Just over a year ago Diggy decided to let the world know that he had talents elsewhere, he wanted to make it as a rapper but without his family's help. With the last name Simmons, and being famous before you even hit the mic, of course young Diggy is going to have a spotlight on him, but can he turn that 15 minutes into a sustainable career? In this episode of Jabari Presents he is dying to let you know that he will.
Watch as I take a stroll with Diggy around NYC as well as sit in on a crunch time studio session as he wraps up his recently released mixtape, Airborne.
The growth of Wiz Khalifa in 2010 has been phenomenal. He has climbed from an underground movement to a soon-to-be household name. The one thing that has stayed the same has been Wiz himself. Cool, humble, and constantly working.
In this episode of Jabari Presents Wiz invited me to a show to see just how big the movement is. I was in awe at the amount of die hard fans (or Taylors) as he call's them that were screaming every single word he uttered. Wiz talked to me about how he's been the underdog for a long time. Finally that is changing.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis recently released their debut album "The Heist" which reached number 2 on the Billboard charts with 78,000 units sold in it's first week. Their success is incredible as the duo is still an independent act with no major record label involved.
In this short film I traveled to Seattle, Washington to spend the week with Macklemore and Ryan as they shot their now infamous "Thrift Shop" music video, and prepared for the release of "The Heist". The two brought me into their indie lives and showed me what it takes day after day to reach the level of success they have.
Jabari Presents was made to inspire youth culture to chase their dreams by showcasing people who are living theirs. This is a story of hard work, dedication, and believing in yourself. This is Jabari Presents: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
