1. RE: is an audiovisual installation by Bram Snijders (Sitd) and Carolien Teunisse (check profile for full description) and was part of ‘Borderless Reality,’ an exhibition co-organized by art center nabi, ISMAR 2010 and V2_Institute for the Unstable Media.
    It explored a borderless world developed from the point where physical reality and virtual layer become entangled in augmented and mixed reality technologies.

    With the help of V2_Lab the artists have been able to take RE: to a higher level.

    INDE Appshaker recently launched a unique way for people to interact with the amazing world of National Geographic Channel's content from around the globe.

    Using the principles of augmented reality, people could immerse themselves in different scenes such as dolphins, leopards, the space landings, dinosaurs and more.

    1000s of people interacted with the National Geographic Channel brand in the process as it toured Hungary, with 1000s more people sharing snapshots and video on Facebook as a result.

    After receiving his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Rochester, Tim Kasser accepted a position at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where he is currently Professor and Chair of Psychology. He has authored over seventy scientific articles and book chapters on materialism, values, goals, and quality of life, among other topics. Tim is also the author of The High Price of Materialism (MIT Press, 2002), co-editor of Psychology and Consumer Culture (APA, 2004) and co-author of Meeting Environmental Challenges: The Role of Human Identity (WWF-UK, 2009). He spends a good deal of his time working with activist groups that try to protect children from commercialization and that encourage a more “inwardly rich” lifestyle than what is offered by consumerism. Tim lives with his wife, two sons, and assorted animals in the Western Illinois countryside.

  5. This is my first Project for Production Class. Rules were to create a completely silent documentary about a process or to a portrait of someone or something. We chose Best Way copy center in Atlanta. The whole video is hand held since we could not use a tripod due to the lack of space and we could not disrupt the owners ability to move around. I am still editing this piece because there is so much more footage that could be included.
