1. “The 360 Project” is an exploration into the crossroads of photography and motion pictures. It is a study of peak dance movements, captured simultaneously by 48 cameras aligned in a circle.

There are two components to “The 360 Project” – “Ballet 360” features ballerinas from Canada’s National Ballet School, “Krump 360” features dancers from Northbuck Krump. The two styles of dance represent polemic perspectives in both technique and origin – one is beauty, the other beast.

The resulting images resemble a type of digital statue – a frozen, peak moment, embodying the essence of each dance form in 360 degrees.

  2. *UPDATE*
Some people are talking about low volume. I can easily hear the input. NOTE that im using the earplug... the one with a membrane, that are put tight into the ears.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

I have found a solution (last minute workaround) that works for me (i will not guarantee that it works for you!)... and cost only about 37$.

And remember! This is NOT a "end-of-chain" output you will hear. Its a quick and dirty non-hifi solution... But you will be able to monitor the sound comming from the microphone.

    My need was:
    - Cheap
    - Simple to setup
    - Lightweight

Try it... and see if it works for you. (i will not guarantee)

  3. I put this video together to go with my article "The Three Basics of Photography", which covers the same ground in more depth: http://www.lightandmatter.org/?p=3809

I wanted to make a video to cover the basics pretty quickly, so that if nothing else, the articles would be easier to understand afterwards. Plus, this thing has a cool soundtrack.

  4. The above video focuses on how you can get some high production value shots utilizing a green screen that doesn't have to be difficult or expensive. We dig into keying and compositing in After Effects as well as a stitched background with Photoshop.

We have attempted to cover as much of the process as possible: from shooting, keying and compositing, through color correction. There are also some included tips on how to enhance a flat still to sell it as a motion background.

    Gear used:
    RED EPIC
    Zeiss CP.2 35mm
    Kessler Crane KC-12/8
    Adobe Production Premium CS 5.5

    And this green screen: digitaljuice.com/products/products.asp?pid=1158

All these tools are highly accessible and you can get some killer shots with a little creativity to boost your overall production value.
