Touching down in Europe this spring we were lucky enough to hit amongst some other sweet runs, Switzerland's Ultra-Sick, Hinterrhein as the first run of our 2012 season. From what we can gather from the locals this run has not flowed for somewhere between 15-20 years.
A kayaking road trip with the boys through Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and France!
Many thanks to all those who provided, shelter, food and hangovers (you know who you are!)
This video records a run of the Farmington River in New Boston, MA, which is just east of the Berkshires and really nice in the Autumn. Unfortunately, the river runs east to west, which means that you get a lot of glare in your camera unless you start early in the day. Most of us had a two hour drive to get there and some of us don't wake up with the chickens, to say the least. As a result, we got on the water at about noon as usual and most of the video was not of the quality I would want to post. I did get the Corkscrew runs because I was looking upstream to the east. My own run (on the far left) was too obscured by glare to publish.
This was taken with a GoPro Hero, which I think is a great helmet cam. No zoom, no filters and no viewer, but low-cost, light, small and produces great HD video under good shooting conditions.
After a few great days on the Raven fork Jared and myself checked the new playboats out at the eternity hole near Sylva NC. Big loops, crazy phonix cartnasty wheel things, and old school ends where thrown out there! Stoked to have good toyz!!!
