This was the short film Pamela and I worked on in December 2011 as a Tropfest entry using 2012's Light Bulb signature theme. It briefly introduces a conceptual model I developed some time ago - so stay posted for further explanation and exposure of this idea.
A quick trip on the Bundaberg Tilt train turned into an epic journey with time for image capture and reflection when Pamela and I ventured to Brizzie last week. Humanity and patience came to the fore as we chatted with people from all over the state and followed an ever-changing route inland from the coast. Shooting around the city and from the 36th floor of Evolution gave us a perspective on journeys that city dwellers make every day.
A little Action Short story shot with my Canon 5d mark 3. I used Magic Lantern RAW.
I was the only person on this shoot so I had to position the camera and go play the part but it was fun to work out some basic camera angles.
I added the shadows and second character in post with After Effects.
I use Ableton Live to create my own music and soundtracks and this was a challenge to try and give it a cinematic edge.
