River Ames (24) is a hearing child of deaf adults
and is brother to two younger deaf siblings,
Emmet (18) and Enola (6). After six years away
from his family he arrives late to the will reading
for his parents who have recently died. The
siblings arrive at their inherited beach house.
Emmet has mixed feelings about Rivers unexpected
return and Enola has never met him. River struggles
with getting Emmet to understand why he had left
meanwhile Enola decides to free her pet fish in the
sea. Enola notices River and they share a moment.
Realising their responsibilities for their sister River
and Emmet decide to have a race on the beach
with Enola. In competition the brothers fail to notice
Enola has fallen they go back to her and sit with her
side by side. Enola watches the sea.
