It seems like I've been getting quite a few questions from current and soon-to-be GH2 owners about camera setup. I put together this quick walkthrough for setting up your GH2 with the optimal settings.
This video covers:
24p Cinema Mode
60p Manual Movie Mode
Customizing the display
Shooting with non-native lenses
Hope it's a help!

Myth busting time. Yes the GH2 really can do clean, detailed ISO 12,800 in low light, and it is the best current DSLR for low light shooting, with an organic fine grain noise pattern like the Canon C300. It all depends on picture profiles, as EOSHD shows in this video tutorial.

I have a bunch of test footage from a photo shoot I was covering a few months back and I just wanted to show the grading capabilities of the GH2. I've colored footage from many different sources (dslrs, xdcam, avc intra, red, alexa, etc) and, granted you've shot it flat & transcoded with 5DtoRGB, you can get some pretty good results from the GH2. You don't nearly get as much latitude from it as red/alexa stuff, but you'll have enough room to play around with different looks.
This isn't the best grade, it's merely just one look. I was thinking about making some color grading tutorials, let me know if you're interested!
First in a series of videos showing the proper usage of the GH2 and the process of loading modified (hacked) firmware onto the camera and testing those settings.
The second video shows the process of loading the firmware onto the camera.
Now that 1.1 firmware update is out, and we have some solid settings. We can get to the very best image the camera can offer. While I don't have a magic ball, I don't think we'll have better still camera video performance until we get a hacked GH3. I don't even think the unhacked GH3 will close the gap between the 154mb GOP1 intraframe 24fps codec that this camera offers. Sure other cameras will have better lowlight - but when it comes to a well exposed image under 800ISO the hacked GH2 is king.
