Shruti Krishnamoorthy is a TWS alumna. She graduated from Western University with an honour B.Sc and M.Sc. in Medical BioPhysics, as well as a Certificate in Molecular Imaging. Shruti is currently working as a Teaching Assistant at the Toronto Waldorf School and plans to continue to pursue her doctorate in this field.
Layah Jane Singer-Wilson is a Toronto Waldorf School graduate. She is a Folk/Soul Singer and has released five albums to date. Layah has played at a number of festivals including the Rochester International Jazz Fest, The Ottawa Folk Festival, and Canadian Music Week. Heralded by The Toronto Star as a 'spine chilling talent', Layah is the recipient of the Ontario Independent Music Awards for Best Female Artist and Best Folk, the Toronto Independent Music Award for Best Jazz, and the CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award. She is also a registered homeopathic practitioner.
Lucas Sorbara is a Toronto Waldorf School High School Teacher and an alumnus. After TWS, he studied anthropology at Dalhousie University and received a B.A. and M.A . He then pursued his doctorate at the University of Sussex in the U.K. He was a Commonwealth Scholar and recipient of an SSHRC Doctoral Research fellowship for research on biodiversity conservation in the eastern Himalayas. Lucas returned to TWS in 2005 to pursue his love of teaching and to give back to the school that helped him to fall in love with learning. He currently teaches English and Life Sciences.
Toronto Waldorf School graduate Lee Armet works as a Senior Forensic Investigator at the TD Bank. He conducts fraud and internal investigations by collecting and analyzing data from computers and mobile phones, which can be used as evidence in both criminal and civil cases. He is a Certified Linux Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and an EnCase Certified Examiner. Lee graduated from the University of Windsor with a Liberal Arts / Social Science degree.
Christian McLeod is a TWS Alumnus and a Contemporary Painter. He got inspirations of his painting style from his travels in Belize, Guatemala, Mexico and Spain. His paintings have been exhibited in many galleries in Toronto and beyond. In 1993 Christian opened an independent gallery in Toronto. He was the winner of the "Annual Art Focus Exhibition" award for Oil Painting in 2002 and also received a prize in the Art Focus Magazine in 1997. He studied Fine Arts at the Toronto School of Art.
