LoveDotCom is the most successful online dating service, but the ones
who run it fail miserably at their own relationships.
Developed in the mid 80’s by BRYAN and JENNIFER McGARVEY, the business began as Love Coaching seminars with books and seminars on the Love Programming Language (LPL). Since 1995 when it went online this counseling and matching full-service company is now global. Bryan and Jennifer are divorced, leaving Jennifer (whose father invested the majority) with 51% and Bryan 49%.
The company is growing too quickly for Bryan to keep track of the changes. The old culture will never catch up, and the organization is unraveling. As in any corporation, there are issues of authority, power, rituals, status, and, sometimes, even love. We are entering a large, dysfunctional tribe who, even though they are the best dating service, plunges vigorously off the ledge of normalcy.
