“Et gensyn” (Second Encounters) is part of a larger tale of three stories about the stages in life and love. During one day, three couples, with the same names and the same relationship so to speak, lets us glimpse a brief, but important, moment in their life: First love, heartbreak and marriage. In this particular story, we witness the second encounter between Katja and Simon, two ex-lovers in their late twenties who still love one another and unexpectedly run into each other in this tale of second chances. Over the years, unfinished business has wreaked havoc on their minds, with them replaying the situation again and again in their heads, wondering what it would be like, if they could do it over. On this fateful day, they get the opportunity. Will the outcome be different? Can the past be repeated? “Et gensyn” offers up one take on the finishing of unfinished business.
