The story of the creation of the handwritten chinese font called "Bojing 柏京" made by chinese designer Yimeng Wu, who has grown up both in Germany and China, now working in her design studio in Berlin on intercultural design projects. We see the artistic process and the handcraft of the font design, and how one person has responded to the challenges of spanning two cultures through an artistic approach: the font containing about 7000 handwritten characters is inspired by Bauhaus geometrical shapes and chinese ancient calligraphy styles. "Bo" comes from Berlin (in chinese) and "Jing" stands for Beijing, as reference to the collaboration of the designer with Hanyi – the oldest foundry in China.
The film contains animated and real scene-elements.
