1. After the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires, the residents of Flowerdale created a logo as a reminder of what they had been through.

    As soon as Odette Hunter saw the logo, she knew she wanted it as a tattoo. Soon after she visited Olivia Brumen at a tattoo parlour in Melbourne and so began the Flowerdale tattoo.

    Since then, 120 people have had the tree tattooed on various parts of their body, with Olivia doing all of them free of charge.
