A cut of some Flyline cable cam shots in context from Season 2 of Atlantis.
The Flyline cable cam trolley from PhotoshipOne is remote operated and gyro stabilised. Running on a single nylon rope it's very quick to set up and operate with many types of gimbal.
This video includes the early Gremsy H10 gimbal attached to the trolley. The camera is a Canon 5DmkIII shooting Magic Lantern Raw with a Zeiss ZF2 35mm Cinemod prime from Duclos Lenses. I've since run this setup with Red Dragon cameras but for Atlantis I was looking at an easy way to introduce the show to the cable cam and the 5D was my own. It cuts in very well with the 35mm of the rest of the show.
This is our Auto360. It uses our patent pending automatic triggering system to fire the camera shutter for 4, 5, or 6 shot panoramas every 90, 72, or 60 degrees (user selectable).
It is intended for use on 600 - 900 size multirotor aircraft.
A servo motor is used to pan the camera mount. As the mount pans the triggering system activates the camera shutter. Thus, only a single extra RC channel is required. Simply hit the switch on your transmitter, the mount begins panning and capturing images at exactly every 90, 72, or 60 degrees as you configure it.
It can be used with the landing gear as shown, or the landing gear can be removed for multirotors with retractable landing gear.
Our FlyLine Cable Dolly is a super-fast, point-to-point, gyroscopically righted cable dolly that can reach speeds of up to 50 KPH and move as slow as 0.5 metres a minute. We use Kenyon KS4 gyros to stabilise the dolly. One gyro is enough to do the job in most situations. However, multiple gyros can be attached if it gets too windy! The ARB energy recovery system gives it a battery life of approx. 90 minutes and the batteries are easy to swap out too.
Depending on location, set-up times can take as little as an hour, and it can be remotely operated up to a range of 1km. The rigging time varies depending on the complexity of the shoot. Once the rope is set up the cable dolly can be attached and detached very easily. This opens up the opportunity for multiple ropes being utilised in a single days shoot. Thanks to our sister company Construct Creatives, the cable dolly is attached to a Freefly MoVI M10 or M15 for 360-degree footage capture, with a live feed sent to director monitors.
Our gimbals offer the opportunity to capture content for your film that is normally the preserve of blockbuster budgets. These handheld 3-axis camera stabilisers are a fantastic way to add super smooth shots to your film.
