Geometry + Motion

I took the VolumeVOPs from my original Pow8 Mandelbulb setup ( and put it into a CVEX VolumeProcedural (with help from the CMIVFX tutorial: "Houdini Fractals Clouds and Terrains"). This allowed me to iterate using a voxel grid size of 128x128x128 for interactive visualization while increasing the quality at render time as needed. I also figured out how to give it a bit of color! :)

In the end, I ended up rendering this at 14x14 pixel samples and a volume quality of 8 (instead of the default of 0.25). This particular mandelbulb used 16 iterations.
