1. I recently put together a set of contax carl zeiss primes for use with canon dslr and Sony F3. I had initially done a comparison with the ze primes and found that in terms of resolution there top be very little difference. The exception being the 18mm where the ZE is quite a bit better. At the time i did the test there wasn't a 35mm 1.4 option either. I was interested to show what these old lenses are capable of. At nearly half the price of the ZE and quite a bit less then the Leica R's They are real contenders. This was shot using a canon 550d. I was battling with a stills head and legs so some of the longer lenses are a bit wobbly. I hope you find it useful and if your ever in Buenos AIres and need a set just let me know

  2. Full screen recommended. A short film about the English countryside!

Shot with the Canon 5D Mark III, 1080p mode ALL-I, ISO 160 throughout. Lenses - Contax Zeiss 85mm F1.4 and Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 at 16mm.

    Sheep directed by Andrew Reid.

Music by Ralph Vaughan Williams - The Lark Ascending

My review of the Canon 5D Mark III's video capabilities - a very mixed bag! eoshd.com/content/7551/canon-5d-mark-iii-review

  4. PRONEWS asked me to write a review on EOS C300 over the last year-end. To explore the camera and its potential in the shortest time, I decided to shoot a short film with it (...for, after all, it's a 'Cinema' EOS, right?). Knowing it would be a no-budget project, I wrote a simple script and called up some friends to see if they had the time to donate for the project. So this is how this little piece was born. I hope you'd enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed creating it.
