1. “(re)Birth” is an intimate, interactive exploration of the human capacity for creativity and regeneration. In this work, dynamic movement, eclectic music and projected images intersect; universal truths find expression in the modern day baby shower; and the notion of giving birth represents all we hope to bring into being.

The section shown here, includes portions of “Excuse me, this is my place.” and "debate: weighting our options”. The evening length was performed at Hartford’s Charter Oak Cultural Center by Deborah Goffe (Artistic Director), Jennifer Cormier, Leslie Frye Maietta, and Katie Jackson Cook.

Since this performance in 2011, (re)Birth has now moved to its 3rd and final stage of development. Now with a cast of 4, characters and the relationship between them have deepened, and the work has returned to its intimate, interactive roots through performances in salon for decidedly small audiences and gallery spaces.
