Photography is a pervasive media in our culture and a catalyst for new media. Photography’s history is part of the history of a vivid transformation of culture. This transformation continues with digital and virtual technologies that change the experience and relationship that we have with the natural world.
Jyl Kelley enjoys exploring that history and process. She is interested in the character of the photographer from the past who often dressed in a suit and top hat and used a camera to make “magic”.
