The new Oslo Airport is expanding. It will be completed in 2017, allowing 28 million passengers to travel to and from the airport every year.
We were asked by Dinamo to make a film visualizing the changes. The model was made by the excellent wearetheartdepartment. The miniature model, which had to be both architectural and animatable, was more than 2 meters long and had hundreds of pieces. It was built using a selection of hard woods to echo the design of the actual airport.
Production company: 4 ½ and Passion Pictures
Created entirely by the huge effort of three people, in alphabetical order: Jacek Barcikowski, Ulrik Hogrebe and Karolina Kret. Together with an amazing Mole Hill who did the stop motion animation and Matthew Day who shared his photography skills with us. Last but not least there were Charlotte Fereday who wrote a copy and framed few months of Ulrik's thinking into those inspiring sentences we have supported with moving images of our video.
Music: "Street Hassle" by Lou Reed
