1. You can plan everything but the weather. This wedding took place in dunlewy sacred hearth church in Donegal. When we arrived to An Chúirt hotel on the morning of the wedding the clouds had opened up but this did not phase Bláithín one bit as she was just in from a run and was in absolutely flying form. This was a Wedding i was very much looking forward to as i work in Donegal quite a bit and love the scenic area, and believe me it doesn't get much more scenic than this.Dunlewy sacred heart church was built in 1893 and is nestled at the bottom of the biggest mountain in donegal with breathtaking views. If Bláithín and Damian's marriage stand the test of time as good as this church it's going to be a very good one. When we arrived to setup in the church we knew it was going to be a very intimate ceremony.Bláithín's friends of very talented musicians had the left taken so we picked out a small spot on the right of the alter and another possibility behind the alter,Space was very limited and this was going to very much depend on having a chat with the priest first which we did.Anybody who knows fr Rory Coyle this was not a problem.Fr coyle couldn't of been a nicer laid back priest to work with. The Ceremony was in irish which i thought was fantastic, everything from the singing to the readings. The music couldnt of been better also in irish with a special piece composed by Bláithín's good friend and neighbor Elaine. The photoshoot took place in the poison glen at the ruins of the old church and at the foot of Mount Errigal which facilitated fantastic shots. A special thank you to Fr Rory who im sure had a quiet word in gods ear when he seen the girls umbrellas that they had with them to keep the rain away for the photo/video shoot in the poison glen,They came prepared but i dont think their umbrellas would of stood up to the rain ha ha.We got a small window and took full advantage of it.Also thank you to Linda Ní Chuinneagáin Photography who was brill to work with and im very much looking forward to seeing some of the photos.Thank you also to Naoimh,Keva and Tara who allowed us to invade their bedroom with ease in the morning during their makeup session,They made us feel right at home. And Finally thank you to Bláithín and Damian who were one of the nicest genuine couples i have ever worked with and thank you for letting us film your big day. Also a few special mentions. Bláithín and Damian's wee 2yr old boy Conla. You just need to look at the three of them to see how happy they are.And also to Pat Murphy Damian's 93yr old Grandfather who didn't pass up the opportunity to say a few words and did so with ease.

  3. This wedding took place on the 5th of may in Ballinrobe and the reception was in the Carlton hotel Westport.I knew when Jarleth,Louise's dad stood up and gave an amazing speech off the cuff that it was going to be part of the highlight edit,He spoke about the last time he walked up the aisle with louise's mother 30 years ago and the similarities.Louise wore her mothers dress that her mother breda walked down the aisle 30+years ago.The dress was hand crokayed by bredas mother and added a special sentimental nostalgic feeling to the day,and louise looked amazing in it.You could see how proud Jarleth was walking up the aisle. It was a pleasure shooting Conor and Louise's special day.The church singers sang Christina perry'A Thousand Years'during the ceremony so i didn't have to think much about the backing track,Im a big fan of Christina perry.I try to connect everything in the highlights and the fact the song was sang in the church did just that.A special thanks to Conor and Louise for there hospitality on the day and also to Annete the photographer who was a pleasure to work with.
