1. A package on the impact digital music and the internet is having on bands and the music industry. Part of coverage of the BT Digital Music Awards for Channel 4.

  2. A series of 26 episodes showcasing new music. Each show profiles a band performing in an intimate venue. In doing the editing I found that having only a small crew of handheld cameras in a small venue meant that each camera operator was encouraged to get the most interesting shots they could which creates a more edgy, raw, direct feel to the performances than if it was a big shoot in a big venue.

These are clips from two shows: The Young Knives and Noisettes

  3. Here are clips from two of a 10 x 15min series, each episode showing a different artist behind the scenes at the T4 On The Beach music festival. So there were 10 crews each filming a performer during the same day. This was quite a fast turnaround edit as we had just two days per show to digitise, edit, get approval, grade, do the sound mix and produce the final master (and keep this going day after day for 10 episodes!). My producer Mark Rainsforth made the process a lot easier.

  4. This is one of many band profiles that I have edited for Channel 4. This one profiles singer-songwriter Jack Savouretti and is a mix of actuality, interview and performance. These films work well if you are able to capture the passion of an artist and their world, and by picking parts of the interview that are a bit different from your typical band interview that are able to spark ideas in the viewers mind. I also really love editing musical performances and capturing the mood of a song.

  5. This music video combines performance by Edwyn at the 100 Club in London with footage of a northern soul dancer. When editing a music video you hear the same song over and over all day. Sometimes you end up hating the music and sometimes it grows on you to where you really love it which was the case for the this track. Directed by Kieran Evans.
