My holiday video from the middle east. There's no real point to this video except to visually engage the audience with what I captured as a photographer would with his pictures.
All of this was captured Run & Gun style on the 5D. I only used one lens which was the Canon 24-105L to reduce dirt/dust getting in. Other equipment used was a glidetrack and a Fader ND to control exposure.
Difficulties i faced was dirt, dirt and more dirt. A lot of the dirt kept getting on the track making it hard for smooth movement, i had to clean it daily. Also being in a tour group, time wasn't a luxury. I had people waiting on me. No external monitor made it quite hard to view what was on the screen. A lot of the time I would focus then switch to live view. Also, lots uneven ground made it hard to plant the glidetrack firmly. The Fader ND too caused a CPL like effect towards the 'max' end which made for an uneven blue sky as can be seen in some shots.
