Rhode Island Regional Transition Centers support middle and high schools, students, families and communities in preparing students for adult life. These Centers provide a wide array of support services to students which include mentoring, internship opportunities, personal and career planning, and much more. High school transition support begins during the junior year and beyond the 12th grade and years 18 through 21. This may include independent living opportunities in apartment settings. There is an emphasis on employment in order to support independent adult living.
