An NEA Jazz Master, 16-time Grammy winner, prolific composer and keyboard virtuoso, Chick Corea has attained living legend status for four decades of unparalleled creativity and artistic output.
Since 1966, Corea has been at the forefront of jazz & fusion, with acoustic jazz bands, Return to Forever and the Elektric Band. Extensive discography boasts numerous essential albums, beginning with 1968s classic "Now He Sings, Now He Sobs."
Corea has entered into a new era of creativity, as evidenced by 2007s Grammy-winning "The Enchantment" (w/ Bela Fleck), 2008s "The New Crystal Silence" (w/ Gary Burton), 2009s "Returns" (documenting Return To Forevers 2008 reunion tour) and 2009s Grammy-winning "Five Peace Band Live" (w/ John McLaughlin, Christian McBride, Kenny Garrett & Vinnie Colaiuta).
Almost forty years after Return to Forever – the definitive jazz fusion ensemble – first appeared on the scene, the much honored ensemble is making one of their continuing returns to action. And, in the bold tradition of renewal that Chick Corea has established as an essential RTF quality, this latest installment combines elements from the band’s rich history with an exciting vision of the jazz future.
