  4. A collection of interviews and written statements commemorating the many accomplishments of the musician, writer, and cancer advocate Angela Suttles, and her international influence.

Angela was first diagnosed with cancer in 1998 at the age of 31, afflicted with a rare stage 4 vaginal cancer. In remission for 5 years Angela was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2003. In June 2004 her physician reported her "healed in response to therapy," a rare outcome for the severity of her condition. In December 2008 and again in April 2010 her tumor markers began to rise, and she returned to treatment. In 2011 she celebrated a 2 year reprieve from chemotherapy, before returning to it once again. With all therapy exhausted, in September 2013 Angela sought the assistance of Hospice, facing her final months.

Throughout her struggle with cancer, and often in spite of it, she actively advocated and volunteered for organizations benefiting cancer research and those battling the disease. She lead the Upstate of South Carolina in this mission. In 2008 she served as The Relay for Life's Entertainment Chair as well as serving as a committee member for the 2008 Cancer Survivor Alliance Conference in Columbia, South Carolina. One year before, she was chosen by The Lance Armstrong Foundation as a cancer advocate, one of only 199 in the country, and travelled to Washington, DC to lobby Congress to make cancer a national priority. The next year she continued to serve for LiveSTRONG, as a Track Leader for the LiveSTRONG summit in Columbus, Ohio. For the proceeding years she served as The Upstate's LiveSTRONG Leader, organizing annual "LiveSTRONG Day" events. In 2009 she brought 'Dragon Boating' to the Upstate, leading a group of female cancer survivors to compete in Dragon Boating competitions.

Her creativity, like her volunteering efforts, sustained her passion. Through writing she was able to spread her unique perceptive on the journey of a cancer survivor in international publications. She also sustained an international platform of her peers online and consistently sought new ways of engaging her community in fighting cancer.

Her story should serve as an inspiration to all.
