1. In this teaser from "Birth of a Predator" a female turtle tries to sneak into an alligator nest to lay her eggs. Female turtles do this quite frequently as an extra safety measure for their eggs. The mother alligator guards the nest and in so doing, unwittingly guards the turtle eggs as well. Unfortunately for this turtle the mother alligator senses a disturbance in her carefully constructed nest....

This is a rough edit as this film is still a work in progress, narration and final music score have not yet been added. Birth of a Predator will be released in 2014.

  2. Usually alligators are shy and afraid of humans....not this one. This juvenile 2 1/2 to 3 footer wasn't afraid of ANYTHING and chased me down and also went after some guys trying to get in their car. He may be small but he could still do some damage...

  3. Alligator, iguanas, and other wildlife abound in this short film set to music shot with the Canon HV20. If you like nature/wildlife films check it out! Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. If you look closely at 2:17 you'll see an alligator jump out of the water. Favorite shot: Baby alligator swimming around with a dragonfly perched on it's head. The thumbnail above is a digital photo I shot with the HV20 and does not appear in the video. Many of us are so caught up in the hectic everyday pace of our lives that we forget to open our eyes and appreciate the beauty of nature that's happening right before us. Take a few moments every day to stop and look, you'll find it no matter where you are.

  5. A clip from the upcoming documentary film "Birth Of A Predator" coming soon Gator Creek Films. A close up look at the amazing birth of the American Alligator as a mother gator unearths her nest and assists the hatchlings as they emerge from their eggs. She takes any unhatched eggs back to the water in her mouth where she will roll them in her mouth to crack them open. Currently filming in Florida and Louisiana.
