A Fashionable plea to stop using single-use-plastics, and to clean up our beaches and waterways each day.
Los Angeles based artist Marina DeBris began picking up trash on local beaches, creeks & streets over fourteen years ago. In 2008 she began creating pieces of art which question the use of single use items and the amount of waste we create. Why should we as humans be so dependent on these “conveniences” that pollute and destroy our communal planet? washedup.us Video Produced by Rob Kalmbach / robkalmbach.com
On August 4, 2012 she joins forces with Art 4 All People and Project Save our Surf for a day of action "Hands Across the Sand". Together they combine forces to raise awareness about our dependency on fossil fuels.
Art 4 All People hosted the event which coincided with Hands Across the Sand, a Global movement to promote a clean energy future for our earth and end our dependence on Filthy Fuels. The footage of the event was shot and edited by Rob Kalmbach.
