  2. In late November, 2015, I was given the opportunity travel across Southwestern Uganda on a foreign correspondent press trip. Among the locations in the video are Mgahinga Gorilla National Forest, Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Mutanda, and a caldera just outside of Kisoro town.

This short video was prepared for use by the organizations below as well as Edirisa, the organization who founded the Gorilla Highlands Project. If you would like to use this video or it's elements outside of these organizations, please request permission before doing so.

*The trip was supported by the United Nations Development Programme, in collaboration with Uganda Tourism Board, the World Tourism Organization, and the Uganda Wildlife Association.

  3. In March 2013 I took a trip to Uganda and Tanzania with two of my siblings to visit my sister who was volunteering at the time for Jenga, a community development organisation in Mbale, Uganda. This is a glimpse of our time there..

  4. Through fog, rain, snow and even wind gusts of up to 120 km/h I am happy to have completed this project. Mountain of Valais is by far my most time consuming venture, which at points pushed me to my utter most limits. With 40kg of kit on my back it was not always easy to arrive to my chosen locations. After 15 days of filming in between August and November this year, and as a further four weeks of postproduction the project is finally finished.

My thanks goes out to the Magic Lantern Team, who through their work have made my process a lot easier. An important part of any Day-Night-Day (Holy Grail) recordings was the Auto ETTR function, as well as the Intervalometer and the Post-Deflicker from Magic Lantern.

Thanks Roberto Cacciapaglia and Glance Studio for the permission to use this great music.

  5. In October 2015, I accompanied the humanitarian organisation Medair to eastern Congo, a region in crisis for more than two decades. Medair has been bringing relief to people suffering in some of the most remote places in DR Congo since 1997.

DR Congo is often a forgotten crisis. It doesn’t show up much in the news, but millions of people continue to be forced from their homes cut off from health care and other essentials because of ongoing waves of violence.

Medair is going far off the beaten path to make sure vital health services are up and running in remote villages. You can learn more about what they are doing here: medair.org/extramile

The interviews in this film went through several translations. As a result, there might be some mistakes in the translation, but the main content was not altered.
