The Beverly Hills Public Library launched a new speaker series with a program titled Connections: Conversations with Parenting Experts. Focusing on children's earliest social and emotional connections, the free program provided an evening of conversation and learning with three panel experts including:
Dr. Pat Levitt, Ph.D., is Simms/Mann Chair in Developmental Neurogenetics at Children’s
Hospital Los Angeles and the University of Southern California.
Roma Khetarpal is the author of the award-winning book “The Perfect Parent,” and a parent
coach and speaker on the topic of “mindful parenting.”
Dr. Dawn A. Kurtz, Ph.D., has worked in the children development and early childhood
education fields for more than 15 years and is Chief Program Officer for Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP).
The Embrace Civility Award recognizes people in our community who
exemplify one or more of the following attributes:

On September 11, 2016, in honor of the 15th anniversary of 9/11 attacks, Beverly Hills firefighters, police officers, City staff, elected officials and the public gathered together to pay their respects and honor the heroes of that fateful day.
