1. I had to make an application to generate escort cards for my fiancée. About half way through, a user on freenode #laravel expressed interest in seeing what I was creating. I thought that overall this might make a good screencast as it is extremely simplistic and touches on a few neat areas of Laravel, and shows how fast you can get up and running.

My screencast software isn't too great so it clipped some audio at the beginning and makes reds appear awkwardly.

    This screencast involves:
    Vim w/ Solarized Dark Theme
    iTerm2
    MySQL
    Apache 2
    PHP 5.4
    Laravel 3.2
    Firefox 12
